These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply when you use purityautohygienics.com, book or approve work with Purity Auto Hygienics (“Purity,” “we,” “us”), or leave a vehicle, boat, or piece of equipment with us. They work together with your written quote or invoice and our Privacy Policy. Job details on your quote or invoice, such as the price, the work, and the deposit amount, apply to that job. These Terms replace any earlier terms and conditions we used, including any printed on older quotes or invoices.
The short version
A deposit holds your appointment and goes toward your bill.
Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours ahead and your deposit moves to your new date or comes back to you, less any materials already ordered for your vehicle. If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours, or don’t show up, the deposit is kept.
If anything is damaged by us or our process while your vehicle is with us, we fix it or replace it.
Payment is due when the work is done, before your vehicle leaves the shop.
If something isn’t right, tell us first so we can make it right.
How we work together
Agreeing to these Terms
- How you agree. You agree to these Terms when you book online, approve a quote or proposal, pay a deposit or invoice, or leave your vehicle with us for service.
- Who can book. You must be at least 18 years old to book with us. By booking, you confirm that you own the vehicle, boat, or equipment, or have the owner’s permission to have the work done.
- Business customers. If you book for a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these Terms for that business.
Quotes and prices
- Your quote is your price. Prices on our website are starting prices for typical condition. Your written quote sets the price and the work for your vehicle, and we agree on the scope of the work before we book it.
- No surprise charges. If we find something during the job that would change the price or the plan, such as heavier contamination than expected or paint that needs a different approach, we stop and ask you first. We do not do extra paid work without your approval.
- Taxes. Sales tax is added only where the law requires it.
Deposits
A scheduling deposit holds your appointment. It is applied to your final bill.
- Detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating, and other services: at least 20% of your quoted total.
- Clear paint protection film (PPF): 50% when you book, and the balance when we finish.
- Colored PPF and custom orders: enough to cover the film or materials we order for your vehicle, and at least 50%. The exact amount is on your quote.
When you book online, the deposit is taken at checkout. Online bookings are requests until we confirm them, and if we can’t confirm yours, we refund your deposit in full. For quoted work, we send a deposit request after you accept your quote, and you pay it through our secure online payment system. Your date is held once your deposit is received. If the deposit isn’t paid the same day we send the request, that time may be given to another customer.
Card on file. If you save a card with us, you authorize us to charge it for your deposit and, once the work is complete, for the balance of your approved invoice.
Canceling, rescheduling, and no-shows
- 48 hours or more before your appointment: you can cancel or reschedule. Your deposit moves to your new date, or we refund it, your choice.
- Less than 48 hours before (to cancel or reschedule), or a no-show: your deposit is non-refundable. It covers the shop days we reserved for your vehicle, which are hard to fill on short notice.
- Materials ordered for your vehicle: if we have already ordered film or materials specifically for your job, the cost of those materials is non-refundable, even if you cancel more than 48 hours ahead.
- If we need to reschedule: your deposit moves to the new date, or we refund it in full, your choice.
A no-show means not arriving for your appointment without letting us know. We may choose to waive these charges.
Drop-off, timing, and pickup
- Timing. Plan on leaving your vehicle all day. We will let you know if it is done sooner. For multi-day work, we give you an expected finish date. Times are estimates, and we will keep you updated if anything changes.
- Personal items. Please remove valuables and personal items before drop-off. If something valuable has to stay in the vehicle, tell us at drop-off.
- Moving your vehicle. We may move your vehicle in and around our shop as the work requires.
- Pickup. We will tell you when your vehicle is ready. Please pick it up within 2 business days. After that, we may charge a daily storage fee, and we will tell you the daily rate in writing before any storage fee starts.
Payment
- When payment is due. The balance is due when the work is complete. Vehicles are released only after the invoice is paid in full.
- Our lien. Where California law gives a business a lien for work done on a vehicle, boat, or equipment, we may keep it until the bill is paid.
- Business accounts. Any other payment arrangement must be agreed in writing before the work starts.
- Questions about a charge. Please contact us first so we can sort it out quickly.
Your vehicle’s condition and what our work can do
We tell you what to expect before we start.
- Existing condition. We note your vehicle’s condition when you drop it off and may take photos. Please tell us about any damage, repairs, repaints, or aftermarket parts you know of.
- Paint correction. Correction removes a very thin layer of clear coat to level out swirls and scratches. Some scratches, chips, and etching are too deep to remove safely. We tell you what we expect before we start.
- Higher-risk surfaces. Repainted, thin, or failing paint, loose trim or emblems, older film or wraps, and aftermarket parts can react differently to our process. If we see a specific risk on your vehicle, we explain it before we start and do not go ahead on that area without your OK.
- Coatings and film. Ceramic coatings protect paint and make it easier to clean, but they do not stop rock chips. Paint protection film is what guards against them. We do not put film over damaged paint. We fix it first or tell you it needs fixing.
- Interiors. Some stains, odors, and wear cannot be fully removed. We tell you what we expect before we start.
- Aftercare. Follow the care instructions we give you, such as how long to wait before washing a new coating. Results depend on that care.
Our No Damage Guarantee
If anything is damaged by us or our process while your vehicle is with us, we fix it or replace it.
- What it covers: damage caused by us or our process while your vehicle is in our care.
- What it does not cover: conditions that were already there when you dropped off, and damage or wear that happens after pickup. It also does not cover a specific risk we explained to you before starting that you chose to go ahead with, unless the damage was caused by our own negligence.
- How to use it: tell us as soon as you notice a problem. We will look at it with you and make it right.
This guarantee is in addition to your rights under California law.
Product warranties and care
- Manufacturer warranties. Some products we install, such as paint protection film and coatings, come with a warranty from the manufacturer. That warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its terms, including which vehicles qualify and whether it transfers to a new owner. We give you those terms and register eligible warranties for you.
- Maintenance is optional. Maintenance services from us are always optional. If a manufacturer’s warranty has care requirements, we tell you what they are.
- Service records. We may report our work to your vehicle’s CARFAX history, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Hand wash memberships
Memberships are billed monthly and continue month to month until you cancel.
- Billing. You are charged the monthly price shown when you sign up, once a month, to the card you used to join. What your tier includes is shown on the membership page when you join.
- Cancel any time. Email us to cancel, text or call (530) 434-9432, or tell us in person. Canceling stops future charges. Your membership stays active through the end of the month you already paid for.
- Price changes and reminders. If the price changes, we notify you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before the new price applies, and tell you how to cancel. Once a year, we also remind you what your membership includes, what it costs, and how to cancel.
- Term memberships. If we offer a membership with a set term, such as 6 or 12 months, its length, total price, billing, what happens at the end of the term, and what happens if you cancel early are shown before you pay and in your confirmation. If a term membership is set to renew, we notify you before it renews, as California law requires, and tell you how to cancel.
Products we sell
We sell a small selection of car care products to our customers. Unopened, unused products can be returned for store credit only. If a product is defective, contact us and we will replace it or help you with the manufacturer’s warranty. This does not limit your rights under California law.
Work at your location
If we agree to work at your home, farm, marina, or business, please give us safe access, a suitable place to work, and any permission needed from the property owner or marina. Water, power, and other site needs are agreed before the job.
Photos and video
We photograph and film our work, including your vehicle, to document the job and to show our work on our website, social media, and ads. We never show you, your voice, or your name without your permission, and we avoid showing license plates and personal details. If you would rather we not use your vehicle, tell us at drop-off or any time after. We will stop using new footage of it and take down posts we control when you ask.
Text messages and email
- What we send. If you agree to texts when you book, or you text us first, Purity Auto Hygienics and our booking system may text you about your quotes, appointments, reminders, and your vehicle. We only send promotional texts if you have agreed to receive them, and agreeing is never a condition of buying from us.
- The details. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP to stop texts. You can also opt out by telling us any other reasonable way, and we honor opt-outs within 10 business days at most. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number stays with us. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text opt-in with other companies for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
- Electronic records. You agree that quotes, invoices, notices, and these Terms can be given to you electronically.
Gift cards and promotions
- Gift cards you buy from us do not expire and have no fees. Small remaining balances can be redeemed for cash as California law requires.
- Promotional cards and offers, such as a gift card that comes free with a purchase, follow the terms stated with the offer. Any expiration date is printed on the card or offer.
Using our website
- Accuracy. We work to keep the prices and information on this site accurate. If we find an error, we correct it, and your written quote confirms your price.
- Our content. The text, photos, videos, and logos on this site belong to Purity Auto Hygienics or the people who license them to us. Please don’t copy them for commercial use without our written permission.
- Fair use of the site. Please don’t misuse the site, for example by trying to break into it, overload it, send spam through its forms, or collect other people’s information from it.
- Other websites. Our booking, payment, review, and social media pages are run by other companies, and their own terms apply there.
- Site information. This website is provided for general information, as is. This does not limit our responsibility for the work we do on your vehicle.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility for our own negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct, or any right you have under California law that cannot be waived.
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather, power outages, or supplier delays. If one of those affects your appointment, we will reschedule, and your deposit moves to the new date or we refund it, your choice.
Questions, problems, and disputes
- Talk to us first. If you have a concern about our work or a charge, please contact us and give us a chance to make it right.
- If we can’t resolve it. Either of us may take the matter to small claims court, or to the Superior Court of California, County of Sutter. These Terms are governed by California law.
- Reviews. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to share your honest opinion of our work.
Changes and other details
- Changes. We may update these Terms. We post the new version on this page with a new date. The version in effect when you approved your quote or booked applies to that job. Membership price changes follow the notice rules above.
- The whole agreement. These Terms, your quote or invoice, the terms of any offer or membership you sign up for, and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between us.
- If part doesn’t apply. If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
